Notes

  • This extra information may be of value when evaluating a particular change to a SNOMED component or aid in implementation of SNOMED CT.

  • Annotations are non-defining, so they do not have any impact on the classification of SNOMED CT concepts.

  • Annotations are not mandatory for all components or reference set members; they can be used as needed for a particular use case.
