A marked position in a SNOMED CT template that can be removed or replaced an with appropriate values during processing.
There are two main types of template slots:
Replacement Slots , which are replaced by a SNOMED CT concept, expression or string during template processing
Information Slots , which provide metadata about how the template is to be processed.
